Materials for Green Energy Technologies

Professor Mohammad KhalidFHEA, FRSC

James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK

Professor Mohammad Khalid is a distinguished academic and researcher in materials for green energy technologies. His work focuses on advanced nanomaterials for energy harvesting, storage and conversion, electrochemical sensing, photocatalysis, hydrogen production and sustainable technologies. Through extensive research publications, edited books and patented innovations, he has made significant contributions to advanced materials and nanotechnology. His recent research includes MXenes, nanocomposites, supercapacitors, batteries and electrocatalysts. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK.

Professor Thomas J. Webster

International academic and biomedical technology leader

Professor Thomas J. Webster is a distinguished biomedical engineer, nanotechnology researcher and academic whose international career has included Purdue University, Brown University, Northeastern University and Hebei University of Technology. His research spans nanomedicine, biomaterials, tissue engineering, medical implants, infection control, cancer treatment and advanced biomedical materials. He has authored more than 1,350 scientific publications, received numerous international recognitions and helped develop companies and medical technologies that contributed to FDA-approved healthcare products.

Pharmaceutical Sciences & Advanced Drug Delivery

Professor Yahya E. Choonara

University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa

Professor Yahya E. Choonara is an internationally recognised pharmaceutical scientist and Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand. He is Director and Co-Founder of the Wits Advanced Drug Delivery Platform Research Unit and holds the South African DSI/NRF Research Chair in advanced drug delivery, nanomedicine, biomaterials and regenerative medicine. His research advances drug-delivery systems, functional biomaterials, tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting and patient-centred therapeutic technologies. In June 2026, he was elected a Fellow of the Controlled Release Society, an honour awarded annually to fewer than one percent of its members.

Bioinformatics & Pharmacology

Dr. Antony StalinPh.D

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China

Dr. Antony Stalin is a distinguished Research Assistant Professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He is an interdisciplinary scientist with expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, bioinformatics, predictive modeling and translational research. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and currently leads a research project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He also serves as an associate editor and editorial board member for respected scientific journals including Frontiers in Bioinformatics, Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Current Bioinformatics and Current Computer-Aided Drug Design. Drawing on his interdisciplinary background, Dr. Stalin contributes expertise in AI model development, scientific validation, data-driven decision-making and technological innovation to support reliable, practical and impactful digital solutions for agriculture and crop-health management.
